Trial set for nursery operator after toddler lost part of his thumb on Stafford premises

The trial of a nursery operator charged in connection with an incident in which a 23-month-old boy lost part of his thumb in Stafford will go ahead in 2027.

Representatives of Kids Planet Day Nurseries Limited pleaded not guilty to a charge under Health and Safety laws when they appeared before Stafford Crown Court on Wednesday

The charge relates to their nursery at Lammascote Road, Stafford when the toddler had his thumb trapped in a door at the premises in May last year.
