Now in its 38th year, Bewdley Festival of the Arts dates back as far as 1988, when the very first festival featured the likes of Roger McGough, Jonathan Dimbleby and Stephen Fry.

Since then, the annual autumn festival has featured over 650 musicians, bands, orchestras, comedians, poets, actors, dancers, historians, naturalists and horticulturalists, together with a host of personalities all with a fascinating story to tell.

This year, as one of the first of 18 events Bromsgrove born novelist and writer Jonathan Coe will be in conversation with broadcaster Adrian Goldberg from 2pm on Saturday at St George's Hall.
