Man punched to floor and repeatedly attacked in Birmingham nightclub

Police are investigating following a serious assault in Birmingham.

West Midlands Police have asked for help in locating a man they wish to talk to after another man was punched to the ground and attacked in Broad Street, Birmingham

It comes after a man was assaulted in a nightclub in Broad Street on the evening of August 24.

The assault saw the man punched to the floor, before being hit repeatedly, causing injuries to his face.

Now, West Midlands Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to talk to in relation to the incident, with the force describing him as white, tall, and with a large muscular build in his late 30s or early 40s.

He was also described as being clean-shaven and wearing a striped top and trousers. 

A force spokesperson said: "Since the assault, officers have worked to gather evidence which could help with their enquiries.

"We're looking to hear from anyone who thinks they recognise this man or who was there on the night of the assault. He is described as white, tall, with a large muscular build, and in his late 30s or early 40s.

"He was clean-shaven and wearing a striped top and trousers."
