Coffee and cake on the agenda as MP hosts charity event in Wombourne

Kingswinford and South Staffordshire MP Mike Wood opened the doors of his constituency office for coffee, cake and a worthy cause

The Wombourne based office welcomed constituents, councillors and passers by who all enjoyed a coffee and some cake as part of a popular event held across the country by the Macmillan Cancer Support charity.

It raised £375 on the day and Mr Wood said he was delighted to support the charity and meet everyone who dropped in.

He said: "Since we moved the office to Wombourne this year we have been warmly welcomed by the community and this was a chance to meet more of them whilst enjoying a drink and a chat.

"Macmillan Cancer Support is a very worthwhile charity which does great work across the country and their coffee mornings always prove popular."
