Wolverhampton shoppers were shocked to find a mammoth-sized 6ft shopping trolley as they visited The Food Warehouse, on Peel Retail Park, Stafford Street, Wolverhampton.

The giant trolley was pushed onto the retail park's forecourt on Tuesday, September 23, complete with 100kg of extra-large products.

The trolley toured Wolverhampton and the neighbouring region as part of The Food Warehouse's launch of its 'big packs and big values' offer, and saw shoppers able to get exclusive values on big-name brands throughout the day.

As well as seeing the huge shopping trolley, shoppers were also able to claim a free 'big pack' of food, outside of the Wolverhampton store.

The Food Warehouse is a sister brand to Iceland, with the warehouse offering larger pack sizes and a greater focus on value and quality.

An Iceland spokesperson said: "We're excited to bring our giant shopping trolley to Wolverhampton and celebrate the huge variety of big packs available to our shoppers.

"With Christmas approaching, we know everyone is going to start feeling the pinch financially, and we’re here to help, with big packs offering great value and deals on leading brands to make things that little bit easier.

"We encourage locals to keep their eyes peeled; it’s certainly a sight to behold."

The big trolley finished its visit by going on a tour around the city, visiting loved local landmarks, including Molineux.
