Watch: 10 amazing photos as Brierley Hill Market turned back the clock for a Peaky Blinders Day
Brierley Hill was full of Peaky Blinders but thankfully they did not commit any crimes.
The festivities at Brierley Hill Market were part of the national Heritage Open Days festival, which sees thousands of volunteers across England organise free events each September to showcase the country's rich history and culture.
The organisers of the event invited everyone to dress in their best 1920s fashion while attending.

The market traders dressed up in 1920s costumes and chatted to visitors about the history of their stalls.

Brierley Hill's other historic attractions were in walking distance of the market, St Michael's Church, St Mary's Church, and Dudley College’s Inspired Campus.

The BBC show Peaky Blinders captured the imagination of the West Midlands with groups meeting to dress up as 1920s gangsters and molls.
