A fourth person was initially believed by officers to have suffered a gunshot injury, but it is now believed that she suffered the injury when she fell during the disturbance. She has since been discharged from the hospital.

Three women, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested on the M6 following the disturbance, on suspicion of violent disorder.

A 32-year-old man was also arrested at around 9.30am on Saturday morning for attempted murder.

All those arrested have now been released on bail as the investigation continues.

The force has said that the club will remain closed today, with investigators reviewing their licensing powers as they continue to work in the city.

Detective Inspector Racheal Allen, from the Major Crime Unit, said: "We are building a clearer picture of what happened in the nightclub, and are working flat out to ensure we identify everyone who was involved.

“It’s still really important that we hear from anyone who was inside the venue, or who may have taken any pictures or video."

The force has also said that they are 'aware' of a video of the shooting being circulated on social media, and are investigating it as part of their enquiries.
