Police arrest man on suspicion of murder in connection with fatal Birmingham house fire
West Midlands Police have arrested a man after a fatal house fire in Birmingham.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "We've arrested a man on suspicion of murder following a house fire in which a man died in Birmingham on Friday.
"We were called alongside fire and ambulance colleagues to the property on Saxons Way, Highters Heath, shortly before 1.10am yesterday (19 September).
"A man, in his 30s, was found seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment but tragically died a short time later. Last night, we arrested a man aged 47 on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody while enquiries continue."
The spokesman added: "If you have information or footage which could help our investigation, please call us on 101 quoting log 174 of 19 September."
