Man dies after motorcycle crashes into central reservation in Tividale

A man has died after his motorcycle crashed into the central reservation on a main road in the Black Country.

The accident happened in Tividale yesterday (Friday) afternoon.

Police were called to New Birmingham Road at the junction of Hilton Road just after 2.35pm after a motorbike hit the central reservation.

The motorbike rider, a 27-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Sergeant Julie Lyman from WMP's Serious Collison Investigation Unit, said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts remain with loved ones affected.

“We have specialist investigators supporting them at this awful time.

“We know there were a lot of witnesses to the collision and urge anyone who hasn’t already, to come forward with any information or video footage about the incident.”
