Murder probe in Birmingham after a man was found following a fire 'deliberately' started at a house
West Midlands Police has launched a murder inquiry after a man was found seriously hurt in a "deliberate" house fire in Birmingham.
West Midlands Police said emergency crews went to Saxons Way in Highters Heath near Druids Heath shortly before 1.10am on Friday (19 ) where a man, aged in his 30s, was found seriously injured. He was taken to hospital for treatment, but died a short time later.
It stated: "Our investigation is at an early stage as we work to establish exactly what happened, but at this stage we believe the fire was started deliberately.

"Officers remain at the scene, and we would urge anyone with concerns or information to speak to us."
Witnesses with information or footage which could help the investigation should call Birmingham officers 101 quoting log 174 of September 19.
