31 drivers in Oldbury facing safety penalties including lorry with unsecure load
More than 31 motorists are facing penalties or prosecutions after 45 vehicles were pulled over in a spot check in Oldbury.
A lorry carrying an unsecure load of boxes including nails was among the motors stopped in Oldbury on Wednesday as part of a West Midlands Police Multi-Agency Road Safety Operation (MARSO) in partnership with the Road Harm Prevention Team.
The force's traffic unit posted on the X platform: "@Trafficwmp organised a MARSO in support of #OpAdvance yesterday in @OldburyWMP. 45 vehicles were stopped with 31 drivers being reported for offences.
"Ever wonder why you get punctures? The prize of the day goes to this lorry which had an insecure load which consisted of boxes nails!"
