'Major disruption' and 50 minute delays after vehicle becomes stranded on M6

Drivers have been warned of heavy disruption after a vehicle became stranded on the M6.

West Midlands Roads has warned of delays of almost an hour and heavy disruption due to a vehicle becoming stranded on the M6, near Birmingham

The incident was reported to have taken place earlier on the M6 northbound between Junction 4A and Junction 6 for Spaghetti Junction.

West Midlands Roads said that the vehicle has since been moved clear of the carriageway; however, delays remain.

On X, the roads group said: "M6 northbound between J4A, M42 and J6 Spaghetti Junction.  Delays of around 50 minutes. 

"There was an earlier stranded vehicle which has been pulled clear of the carriageway."

Emergency services have been approached for more information.
