Staffordshire school teacher facing disciplinary action for Charlie Kirk US death post
A Staffordshire teacher may face disciplinary action for an online post remarking on the shooting of the ring-wing American political activist Charlie Kirk.
Chiefs at Kingsmead School in Hednesford said appropriate steps were being be taken after the teacher allegedly posted that "in some ways the world has just become slightly 'safer'" after the death of 31-year-old Mr Kirk. The Trump ally was speaking at a university rally in Utah on September 10 when he was gunned down in front of students.
Meanwhile the post was being shared by several groups in the Cannock Chase area prompting the school to announce online that it was addressing the situation.
The post which was later deleted alleged that Mr Kirk was a promoter of female subservience in a manner similar to right wing Islamists and stated: "If we allow men like Charlie Kirk to lead a voice in our society then we are devolving. As women we are allowing ourselves to eventually become voiceless again - just because he's white doesn't mean that his views on women are any better. He's just packaged differently on the outside - therefore that makes him appealing and someone to 'admire'.
"He is still a wolf in sheep's clothing.
"I am not condoning the actions of the shooter. He still had a wife and children who no doubt will miss their father dearly. However, in some ways the world has become slightly 'safer' again."

In a statement Kingsmead head Paul Averis said: "We are aware that a social media post made by a teacher at Kingsmead School relating to the death of Charlie Kirk has been reposted in multiple Facebook groups.
"The views expressed are not representative of the school or John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust. We do not condone the views shared on the post.
"We are taking appropriate steps internally to address this serious matter."
The teacher's social media pages have since been taken offline. The senior school is operated by the John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust which is based in Barton-under-Needwood near Lichfield.
Meanwhile in the US, 22-yer-old suspected gunman Tyler Robinson is due to appear in court this week after being arrested on suspicion of aggravated murder.
