The proposals include the stopping up of parts of Salop Street, Market Square and Peel Street off the ring road.

There are plans to build more than 300 flats on land at the corner of Salop Street and Peel Street in Wolverhampton city centre on the site of the city's former indoor market as part of a huge regeneration project.
