Thousands of runners enjoyed the Wolverhampton Half Marathon and 10K this morning.
Thousands of runners ran the Wolverhampton Half Marathon and 10k courses this morning in perfect conditions with low temperatures and a slight drizzle.
The event was made possible by volunteers who were stationed throughout the course in Wolverhampton city centre to ensure the problems of last year's wrong diversions were not repeated.
The organisers posted on Facebook: "A Massive Thank You.To everybody that attended today. Our marshals, vendors but most importantly all the participants that raced today and we hope you all got back home safely.
"Without you these events aren't able to take place, and we're delighted that you chose to race with us."
Runners were split into groups of racers for the half marathon and fun runners for the 10km run where plenty ran round in fancy dress.
Peter Middleton, from Shrewsbury Athletic Club, won the men's race with a time of 01:19:13.

Black Country runner Thomas McCallion from Sedgley Striders came in third with a time of 01:20:22.
Louise Kathleen Mcmahon-Gnosill enjoyed the run and got a little help from fellow runners as the lactic acid started to bite, she said: "Thanks to chris Davies from West Bromwich Harriers RC for helping me to get through the last couple of miles as was really struggling."
Runner Andrew Evans wanted to thank the volunteers, he said: "Many thanks to the marshals and vendors they were incredible."
Rob Langford added: "Really enjoyed it. Great goodies bag. Thanks to all that volunteered."

Running clubs and charities from across the region entered the race many raising cash for good causes and charity.
