Glittering fundraising ball at major Wolverhampton venue aims to make children’s dreams come true
A Wolverhampton children's charity is set to hold its annual fundraising ball at an iconic Wolverhampton venue.
Promise Dreams will be holding its most dazzling event of the year, the Glitz & Glamour Fundraising Ball, on Friday, November 7 at Grand Station in Wolverhampton.
Guests will be encouraged to dress up for a glamourous evening of fun, laughter, smiles and emotion as the event will help to raise funds for the charity, which works to create magical moments for children living with serious and terminal illnesses through trips and dream fulfilments.
The event will feature a four course meal, a drinks reception, a live auction and plenty of live entertainment, including from comedian and host Aaron James.
Nikki Yeomans, Charity Manager at Promise Dreams, said: "Our fundraising ball is more than just an event, it’s a chance to give children something truly priceless in smiles, laughter and the magic of a dream come true.
"It’s a night that moves people, inspires kindness and shows the real difference we can make together.
"These children deserve moments of happiness during incredibly difficult times and, sometimes, those memories are all that’s left.”
Ms Yeomans said the event was the biggest opportunity for Promise Dreams to fundraise throughout the year and said it was wonderful to be able to come back to Grand Station again to host the event.

She said: "We did it here last year, so knowing that we could come back into a reliable venue where it all went so smoothly is good as it was a great success last year, so we're keen to keep trying to move forward from then.
"A lot of our guests commented that they hadn't had the opportunity to come to Grand Station before, so they loved the fact that they could come here and they were very impressed with the venue, which I think is the number one venue in Wolverhampton."
Grand Station director of sales and development Danny Thompson said it was important to be able to help charities like Promise Dreams and ensure that as many people as possible could attend this type of event.
He said: "This is our second year working with Promise Dreams and it was amazing to see that the charity ball last year raised more than £75,000.
"It was an amazing amount but, unfortunately, there's more children who need support and they need wishes granted, so the only way we can do this is by having guests attend these type of events and raise as much money as they can.
"By doing that, they can really make a difference to those children who desperately need their support."
Ticket to the Glitz & Glamour Fundraising Ball cost £80 per person and can be booked by calling 01902 212451 or emailing info@promisedreams.co.uk.
