Four charged after NCA uncovers West Midlands-based cannabis farms and drug supply network

The NCA investigation also led to the discovery of a drugs farm in Dudley.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) have announced that four people have been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into organised immigration crime and drug supply.

Kristian Leshi, 34 and Xhulijana Trimi, 29, were apprehended at an address in Cornbrook Road, Birmingham, and were charged with possession of class B drugs with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.

It comes after cannabis and a quantity of cash were found at a home on the street.

Moin Aftab, 25, and Mohemmed Sohail-Yassen, 23, were also arrested at an address on Warstone Lane, Birmingham, after officers found around two kilos of cocaine. 

Both were charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Another man, aged 31, was also arrested at an address on Fountain Road, Birmingham, and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

The four were due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The NCA operation on September 4 also led to the discovery of a cannabis farm at an address in Dudley, with plants worth £78,000 being removed and destroyed from the property.

A NCA spokesperson said: "Four people arrested by the National Crime Agency yesterday as part of an ongoing investigation into organised immigration crime and drug supply have been charged.

"The four were due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today (September 5)."
