We visited an area described as the heart of Willenhall and discovered a place where the Christmas lights go up early and community spirit shines

Not only is New Invention a nice place to live - it's a nice place to visit too.

Willenhall's New Invention is the type of estate where people drive through, but never stop.

New Invention lies just three miles from Willenhall and four miles from Wolverhampton, and is often used as a through route to travel between the two regions.

However, you would be amiss for not stopping for a second to take in the unbelievably strong community spirit of this small neighbourhood.

Visiting the shopping hub, The Square, just off of Lichfield Road, we found a community that is caring, spirited and immensely proud of their little corner of the Black Country.

The Square includes everything the avid shopper needs, from quaint charity shops and clothing stores to a loved chip shop and a local pub, this area is worth pulling over for.

Talking about living in the area, Tracey Badger, manager at The Hive, a community centre in the neighbourhood, said: "It's a lovely place to be.
