'The world has lost an angel': Floral tributes and heartfelt messages left at site of Smethwick crash which killed mum
Baljit Kaur sadly died after being struck by a car on the road.
Floral tributes and heartfelt messages have been left at the scene of a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 62-year-old mother.
Baljit Kaur was struck by a car on Thimblemill Road, Smethwick, on Thursday evening, with emergency services saying that despite their best efforts, she died at the scene.

A formal tribute was released by the family yesterday, with her son Daninder saying: "I've lost my mom, I've lost my world."
Now, dozens of floral tributes and notes have been attached to a post near where Baljit sadly died.
One note read: "The world has lost a loving angel who no one can ever replace.

"Always in our hearts, forever."
West Midlands Police have said that Baljit's family is being supported by specialist officers, adding that a 35-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Erjon Aliaj appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on August 30, and has been remanded into custody ahead of a further hearing this month.

The force is continuing to appeal for information over the incident, asking anyone with information to contact them directly.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We are still appealing for information and footage, and we’re asking anyone who hasn’t yet spoken to us to call 101 or email sciu@westmidlands.police.uk quoting log number 5290 of 28 August."
