Kingswinford man charged after woman hit by car and left with serious injuries

A man from Kingswinford has been charged following an incident that left a woman seriously injured after she was hit by a car.
The woman was struck by the vehicle on Elmley Close, in Cutnall Green, at around 1.16am on Sunday, August 31, leaving her with serious injuries.
Now, Christopher Finch, of Bromley Lane, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, driving whilst disqualified and use of a motor vehicle with no third-party insurance, following the incident.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "Christopher Finch, 35, of Bromley Lane in Kingswinford, has been charged with several offences after an incident in Elmley Close, Cutnall Green, on Sunday (31 August).
"Finch has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, driving whilst disqualified and use of a motor vehicle on a public road with no third-party insurance."
He appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said that an ambulance and a critical care car were dispatched to the scene, where they discovered the woman.
An ambulance spokesperson said: "We were called at 01.16am to a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Elmley Close in Cutnall Green, Droitwich.
"One ambulance and a critical care car from Midlands Air Ambulance attended the scene."
Upon arrival, we found a woman who was the pedestrian. She was assessed and had sustained serious injuries.
"She received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene and was conveyed to the hospital by land ambulance under emergency blue light conditions for further treatment."
