Plans lodged to build 30 flats on site of former Wednesbury car dealership

A planning application has been submitted to bulldoze a former Wednesbury car dealership to make way for 30 residential apartments.

SAP Investments have applied to Sandwell Council for permission to transform the former Wednesbury Motors Site, Holyhead Road, into apartments. 

The buildings which comprise the former motor sales company will be bulldozed to make way for new buildings. 

In an application to Sandwell Council, SAP Investments said: "The existing buildings have no architectural merit and measure some 675 square metres sitting on a site of some 3,682 square metre.

"The proposal is for the redevelopment of the site to produce quality affordable apartments, with spacious accommodation to suit a family. The new buildings will be constructed using state of the art building techniques employing green technology and modern building methods to produce a modern design and aesthetic."
