Suspected Wednesbury shoplifter charged with multiple thefts in Walsall
A Wednesbury man has been charged with several shop thefts in Walsall this summer.
Levi Roberts, 27, was arrested in connected with shop thefts between May 31 and July 11.
Roberts was remanded to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (Fri) for a first hearing.
The arrest was made as part of West Midlands Police Safer Streets Summer where officers carry out patrols and supported local businesses.

PC Courtney Tongue, business crime co-ordinator at Walsall LPA, said: “Our neighbourhood team is targeting those who carry out shop thefts which has a great impact on local businesses and we have been carrying out regular street patrols as part of Safer Streets Summer targeting retail crime in Walsall.
”We also run Operation Marigold which targets business crime and those carrying out shop thefts."
