Motorists warned about delays on M6 near Stafford due to car fire

A car fire has caused delays on the M6 near Stafford this evening (Friday)

National Highways posted on social media: "Two lanes (of 4) are closed on the M6 northbound between J14 Stafford and J15 StokeonTrent due to a car fire. 

"The fire has now been extinguished and recovery is underway. Delays of 30 minutes reported on approach."
