Sandwell man, 18, caught distributing videos of toddlers being raped and babies being sexually abused avoids jail
An 18-year-old man from the Black Country who was caught distributing videos of toddlers being raped and babies being sexually abused has avoided jail.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons as he committed the offences when he was 15 and 16, could have been jailed for ten years.
The 18-year-old, from Sandwell, pleaded guilty to possession with 187 category A images or videos, 73 category B images or videos, 74 category C images or videos and one count of distributing indecent images and videos.
He was sentenced on Thursday at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
Prosecuting, Mr Andrew Wallace said: "These offences took place between February 2023 and May 2024 when the defendant was 15 and 16.
