A callous robber has been jailed for attacking and robbing an elderly man in Stourbridge town centre.
Emma Green, aged 35, approached the man in the town centre on March 12, asking him for directions, change, and if she could use his phone.
Green then followed him to Prospect Hill where she grabbed his coat, assaulted him, and stole a significant sum of cash, as well as several personal items.
Thankfully the man didn’t suffer serious injuries and contacted police. Officers managed to identify the suspect CCTV from around the area.

Green, of Union Street, was subsequently arrested and charged with robbery. She was sentenced to three years and one month in prison at Wolverhampton Crown Court last Friday (August 15).
Inspector Steven Crowe, from the West Midlands Police Dudley Priority Crime Team, said: “This was a callous robbery of an elderly man simply going about his day.
“We are absolutely committed to making Stourbridge the safest place possible for residents and visitors, and ultimately this investigation has seen a violent offender rightfully sent to prison.
“Our teams will continue their relentless work targeting those causing harm in our communities, and we are grateful for any information provided to us.”
