Man charged after guns, ammunition and drugs found in Bloxwich

Police have charged a man after they recovered a gun, ammunition and a haul of Class A drugs in Bloxwich.

Officers from West Midlands Police acted on information at an address in Bloxwich on Friday (15 August).

A viable firearm was recovered and a 34-year-old man from Wolverhampton was arrested.

After further searches at an address, Class A drugs, ammunition and quantity of cash was recovered.

Ibrar Abbas was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, having Class A drugs with intent to supply, and possession of criminal property.

He appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court yesterday (Monday) where he was remanded in custody ahead of a further court hearing.

The raids were carried out as part of Operation Target where the police take action against serious and organised crime across the West Midlands.
