Wanted man arrested in Willenhall by officers on summer patrols
Officers on reassurance patrols in Willenhall arrested a wanted man on suspicion of assault and also recovered an imitation firearm.
Neighbourhood officers were carrying out #SaferStreetsSummer patrols in Willenhall yesterday (Thurs) afternoon, shortly after 2.30pm, when they spotted the man on Newhall Street.
The 21-year-old was arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of assault and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He remains in custody as enquiries continue.
Officers have been carrying out #SaferStreetsSummer operations in the town centre, carrying out patrols and supporting local businesses as part of a national initiative running in town centres and high streets across the UK focusing on anti-social behaviour, retail and street crime.
