Teenager seriously assaulted in Stafford park

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was seriously assaulted at a park in Stafford.

At around 4.45pm on Wednesday (August 13), a 16-year-old boy was hurt after being approached by a group of youths at Charnley Park, on Charnley Road, Stafford.

He was taken to hospital for treatment after suffering a broken nose and jaw.
