Driver charged after police chase between Stafford and Stone
A man has been charged with multiple driving offences following a pursuit on a main road between Stone and Stafford in June.
Matthew Mark Stevens, aged 23, of Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving while disqualified, using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance and taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.
It comes after officers from Staffordshire Police's road crime team followed the driver of a Vauxhall after spotting the car on the A34 between Stone and Stafford on June 25.
Stevens appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Tuesday and has been remanded ahead of his next appearance at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 15 September.
