Over 30 drivers in Stourbridge caught speeding by community team
Neighbourhood officers and volunteers in Stourbridge have taken to the streets to check on speeding motorists.
Officers from Stourbridge were joined by the newly formed Pedmore Community Speed Watch team as the volunteers took part in their first session.
Heading over to Wollescote Road, Pedmore, 150 vehicles were checked yesterday (Tuesday) in response to residents’ concerns about speeding.
With the support of some of the Stourbridge PCSOs, the group found 32 drivers to be speeding.
The motorists found to be ignoring the speed limit will now be issued with a warning letter in the coming days.
The Stourbridge team and volunteers from the Speed Watch group are continuing their efforts to put a stop to speeding drivers causing a danger to other road users and are targeting speeding hotspots.
