First look inside the new and improved M&S foodhall in Dudley's Merry Hill - complete with coffee and bakery section
High street retailer, M&S, has unveiled a new and improved foodhall at their Merry Hill location in Dudley.
The major transformation has seen the foodhall expand into four neighbouring units, bringing food, fashion, beauty and home departments together in one location.
The new foodhall boasts 27% more space, which includes a bakery section and coffee counter for customers to buy handmade treats and artisanal coffees.

The fresh market-style foodhall is accompanied by a new entrance with access directly from the car park.
Tom Hawthorn, store manager at M&S Merry Hill, said: "It feels amazing to finally reveal our showstopping new foodhall, we have been counting down the days! A massive thanks to all our customers for their patience while work has been going on, and to my team, for all their hard work.

"This is just stage one of our transformation, but I know customers will absolutely love the changes – we have so many more products, so much more space, and so many more exciting changes planned for our full launch in October."

It also comes as the retailer boasts 16 new store openings and a further nine extensions.

Jonathan Poole, centre manager at Merry Hill, said: "The last couple of years have been transformational at Merry Hill. The opening of the brand new M&S foodhall marks an important milestone and offers our millions of visitors an exceptional food and drink experience, bringing the very best of M&S food to their centre.

"When fully opened later in the year, the new M&S flagship store and coffee shop will be a great benefit for our shoppers as they enjoy even more ways to eat, shop and spend time together at Merry Hill."

The store is one of 12 M&S venues to be renewed this year, backed by a £300 million investment, with a spokesperson for the group saying that it is to 'offer the best possible shopping experience'.

The upgrade comes after the retailer announced the closure date for their Wolverhampton-based flagship department store, with the venue set to close towards the end of September.
