Both licensed premises used to hold music nights and events which will be a loss to both the Hagley and Stourbridge entertainment economy.

The company's Instagram account posted yesterday (Monday) offering "shop lease available".

The post said: "Shop lease available in the heart of Hagley village, with or without equipment or furniture. If interested and serious please DM.

"Coffee shop, retail unit, licensed, competitive rent, outdoor seating, four parking spaces and upstairs room."

A Stourbridge shop owner, who did not want to be named, said: "It is tough out there at the moment."

The company had nearly 4,000 followers on Facebook - but last posted on July 15. The company's website www.cupcoffeeshop.co.uk has also been set on private mode.

As well as hot dinks, Cup used to sell food, including small plates and lunches.

Customer Ellie Stevenson said: "Gutted, they seemed to be doing so well. I guess it is hard for all small businesses at the moment which is why you have to go independent."

The Express & Star has approached Cup Coffee for a comment.
