UK heatwave: What forecasters say as temperatures in the West Midlands predicted to soar
One weather group has suggested that temperatures in the West Midlands are set to soar again later this month.
The Global Forecast System (GFS) model has predicted that temperatures across the West Midlands and wider UK will reach the 30s in some areas.
This week has been a mixed bag weather-wise with sporadic rain and partial sunshine hitting many parts of the Black Country.

Now forecaster WXMaps has predicted that the sun will shine again in early August, with scorching temperatures expected to return for many.
The group predicts the mercury will start to rise this Sunday (August 3) before temperatures reach a peak on Wednesday, August 13.
According to the GFS system, the Black Country will reach around 28C on August 10, before spiking again to 31C on Tuesday, August 12 at around 6pm and 32C on Wednesday, August 13.
Met Office prediction

In the UK's long-range forecast on the Met Office website, the weather group said that the conditions between August 5 and August 14 will start with a mix of wind, rain and sunshine, before turning drier and warmer.
The group said it expects 'more settled conditions' around the UK; however, it also said the weather may be 'broadly changeable' early on.
The updates come after the UK was plunged into three consecutive heatwaves over the summer period, leading to a number of water agencies enforcing hosepipe bans and water restrictions in Yorkshire, the South East, and the Thames Water area.
While not enforcing water usage restrictions in the West Midlands, Severn Trent and South Staffs Water said last month that the option was 'kept under review'.
