Police appeal for information after man slashed with knife in Sandwell
Police are appealing for information after a man was slashed with a knife in Smethwick - resulting in him needing surgery.
West Midlands Police are appealing for information after a man in his 40s was slashed with a knife on Waterloo Road, Smethwick, at around 9pm on June 23.
Officers said that they were informed that a group of men were involved in the incident, with investigators carrying out CCTV enquiries in the area.
The man was required to undergo surgery for his wounds.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We're appealing for information after a man was slashed with a knife in Sandwell.
"A man in his 40s was forced to undergo surgery on his arm after being attacked in Waterloo Road at around 9pm on 23 June.
"It's understood a group of men were involved, and we've been carrying out CCTV enquiries in the area."
