Three men charged after shop thefts across Dudley
Three men have been charged with a string of shop theft offences in Dudley.
Lee Hancox, Daniel Hall and Luke Hughes Roberts have been charged with more than 20 shop theft offences across Dudley borough in May, June and July.
Hancox, 34, of Gibbs Road in Lye, has been charged with 17 theft offences in Brierley Hill, Kingswinford, Stourbridge, Amblecote and Lye over May, June and July, while Hall, 38, of no fixed address, has been charged with an offence on Belmont Road in Lye on Wednesday and Hughes Roberts, 34, of no fixed address, has been charged with three shop theft offences on Manor Way in Halesowen in June and July.
All three men were remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Friday. No details are yet available about their appearance.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "These charges are part of our work to tackle retail crime and antisocial behaviour in our town centres as part of the national #SaferStreetsSummer initiative.
"Stourbridge is one of dozens of centres and high streets across the country that will see increased police activity this summer.
