Motorists facing road closures for emergency water works in Wednesfield and Willenhall
Temporary road closures will be in force on a busy link between Wednesfield and Willenhall all weekend due to Severn Trent Water tackling "emergency works".
Pool Hayes Lane and Five Fields Road in neighbouring Fibbersley in Willenhall have both been closed since this morning to allow the workmen to carry out the unexpected job. The route links Willenhall to Wednesfield.
Wolverhampton Council posted on social media: "Severn Trent Water emergency works mean temporary road closures on Pool Hayes Lane and Five Fields Road are expected to remain in place until Monday (July 28). Vehicular diversion routes
"Pool Hayes Lane diversion route: Broad Lane South, Fibbersley, Wellington Place, Thorne Road, Monmer Lane, Ashmore Lake Road, Lucknow Road and vice versa.
"Five Fields Road diversion route: Five Fields, Birchfields Road, Broad Lane South, Fibbersley, Wellington Place, Thorne Road, Monmer Lane, Ashmore Lake Road, Lucknow Road and vice versa."
