Banks's last beer festival: Hard work goes on to get popular Wolverhampton beer festival ready for final appearance by beloved brewery
The hard work of volunteers has helped to turn an arts centre hall into a centre of beer ahead of a popular festival which will be tinged with a bit of sadness.
The 2025 Wolverhampton CAMRA Summer Festival of Beer & Cider will bring lovers of beer, cider and ales alike to the Wolverhampton Arts Centre to be able to try more than 50 different drinks.
The festival is a big part of the social calendar for Wolverhampton CAMRA, with members all pitching in to help run the festival and make it a success, and is described as an institution of Wolverhampton.
As the festival marks its 49th year and runs from Thursday, July 24 to Saturday, July 26, the volunteers from Wolverhampton CAMRA have been hard at work since Monday to get the hall of the Arts Centre ready for the weekend.
This has included the set up of the bar area, stretching along the length of the hall, and a shelving unit which is set up behind with six casks placed over three levels, as well as the tombola near the entrance door.
