Road in Wolverhampton to be closed for two days due to emergency works
Severn Trent Water emergency works have forced the closure of a Wolverhampton road.
Perton Road, Wolverhampton, has been forced to close to make way for emergency Severn Trent Water works.
The route is set to be closed at its junctions with Old Lane and outside No.5, with the works expected to be in place until Thursday, July 24.
Diversions are in place during the closure, with traffic now urged to follow Tinacre Hill, Bridgnorth Road, Wightwick Bank and vice versa.
Wolverhampton Council said on X: "Severn Trent Water emergency works mean a temporary road closure on Perton Road, between its junctions with Old Lane and outside No.5, expected until Thursday (July 24).
"Diversion route: Tinacre Hill, Bridgnorth Road, Wightwick Bank and vice versa."
