Police warn Staffordshire motorists 'they are not born yesterday' after a week of bare-faced lies by dodgy drivers
Staffordshire traffic police are warning drivers that 'they are not born yesterday' after catching motorists lying about their credentials.
Within a matter of days Staffordshire Road Traffic Team caught out a driver pretending to be his brother, whilst getting his age wrong, and another claiming an none existent international driving licence allowed him on our roads.

The team posted on social media: "We spoke to driver of this van about their use while driving. Having not been born yesterday, we didn't fall for his brother's details, not knowing his own age was a give away. Our survey (PNC) says - No Insurance too Driver reported x 2."
On Thursday, the eagle-eyed cops spotted another uninsured driver taking liberties on the road.

The team said: "Vehicle failed to stop initially for officers in Penkridge. When finally stopped, it transpired that the driver had NO licence and NO insurance! The driver claimed to have an ‘international’ licence which unfortunately is no longer valid in the UK."
On Friday, it was a BMW driver who went from cruising the streets of Penkridge to waiting for public transport after the traffic cops noticed his car was not insured.
Posting a picture of the car, the team said: "Another vehicle stopped today in Penkridge, turns out the driver is uninsured. Vehicle seized Driver reported at the roadside."

On Wednesday it was the turn of a HGV driver to be told Staffordshire's finest 'were not born yesterday' after telling them toilet roll had magically stuck to their number plate.

The team called out the driver, and said: " HGV driver claimed the toilet roll & grease must have flicked up onto his number plates whilst driving ... luckily we weren't born yesterday Driver issued with ticket for both plates & company reported to the transport commissioner."
Be warned, get your documents in order before hitting Staffordshire's roads and do not try and pull the wool of the county's traffic cops, because, they 'were not born yesterday'.
