'Avoid the area': Major crash blocking junction in Walsall
Motorists have been warned to avoid Aldridge Road in Walsall and bus services have been diverted due to a serious crash.
The junction of Aldridge Road and Mellish Road is blocked due to the collision which happened earlier this afternoon.
West Midlands Roads posted on social media: "A454 Aldridge Road/Mellish Road Road traffic collision Road blocked across junction Plan Ahead: Allow extra time for your journey."
Transport for West Midlands urged passengers to take in account diversions to services due to the road closures.
They posted on social media: "Bus services 6 and 7 will be diverting via: Lichfield Road and Bosty Lane Plan ahead."
Mellish Road joins Aldridge Road and is used by motorists avoiding Walsall town centre.
