Man and two women charged after police seize £115,000 and drugs while investigating West Midlands operation

Police have charged a man and two women with drugs offences following warrants issued in the West Midlands yesterday (Thursday).

West Midlands Police's  County Lines Taskforce carried out warrants at multiple addresses in Coventry and Birmingham after an investigation into a drugs line.

A large amount of cash, totalling over £115,000, along with a large amount of cocaine and heroin was seized from the properties.

Rowen Picken, aged 31, has been charged with multiple drugs offences including possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of crack and heroin.

Alice Yates, aged 31, has been charged with multiple drugs offences including possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of crack and heroin.

Madat Ali, aged 54, has been charged with possession of criminal property, along with multiple drugs offences including possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of crack and heroin.

All three were remanded in custody to appear before magistrates today (Friday).

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Our County Lines Taskforce is committed to disrupting the supply of drugs in the West Midlands and is relentlessly targeting those suspected of involvement in it.

"It's all part of Operation Target, our ongoing fight against serious and organised crime in the West Midlands.

"Officers work 24/7 to disrupt and arrest those involved in guns, drugs, money laundering and exploitation.
