Three men charged with more than 60 offences in police crackdown on alleged shoplifters
Three suspected shop thieves have been arrested and charged with more than 60 offences in the Black Country.
West Midlands Police's neighbourhood teams Safer Streets Summer national campaign is addressing issues like thefts from stores.
The three men, detained by officers over the last five days, have now been charged with 60 offences following reports of more than 20 thefts in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, Walsall and Sandwell.
Anthony Smith, aged 38, appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday (July 15) to face 12 theft offences, three robberies and three counts of possessing a blade. He's been remanded to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on August 11.
Scott England, aged 43, was yesterday (Wednesday) charged with 10 thefts, and two robberies. He was due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (Thursday).

Jake Higgs, aged 33, has been charged with 30 shop theft offences and is also due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today.
