Family pay tribute to Stafford man who died after car crash near Aston Marina

The family of a Stafford man who died following a crash have paid tribute to their 'loving son, brother, uncle and friend'.

Callum Knott, aged 26 and from Stafford, died after the car he was travelling in on the A51 hit a tree near Aston Marina, Stone, at around 9pm on Monday, July 7.

Callum, a woman and a child were taken to hospital. The woman and child were discharged but Callum was sadly pronounced dead at the hospital.

Callum's family have now paid tribute to their 'loving son, brother and uncle', who they said was a 'friend to many'.

A statement released through police said: "He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to many. 

"Please respect our privacy at this difficult time."

Staffordshire Police is continuing to appeal for information and dashcam footage relating to the collision, with anyone with information asked to phone 101, or email the collision investigation unit directly at ciu@staffordshire.police.uk.
