Teenager charged after raid on Birmingham house after 'firearms and zombie knife found'
A teenager has been charged with firearms offences after a firearm was found along with ammunition and a zombie knife.
The 16-year-old, boy, who can’t be named due to his age, was due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today (Wednesday) for a first hearing.
He is charged with possessing a firearm without a certificate, possession of a weapon in a public place and possession of a firearm of less than 30cm/60cm in length.
Officers from West Midlands Police's Birmingham Gangs Team carried out a warrant at an address in Shakespeare Crescent, Hockley, in the early hours of yesterday (Tuesday) morning.
Following searches of the address, officers found a firearm, ammunition, and a zombie knife.
A 15-year-old boy was also arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of firearms offences. He has been released on bail with strict conditions while we carry out further enquiries.
