Man arrested after thefts from cars in Wolverhampton city centre
A suspected thief was due in court today (Wednesday) after officers arrested a man in Wolverhampton city centre on Monday evening.
The arrest of the man took place in Lichfield Street and came after items were stolen from two cars in the city centre on Friday and Sunday evening (July 11 and 13).
Badr Alreemi, aged 41, has been charged with two thefts and was due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (July 16).
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "We remain committed to #SaferStreetsSummer, which is a national initiative in town centres and high streets across the UK focusing on anti-social behaviour, retail and street crime."
