Road closed around Halesowen roundabout due to 'emergency service led incident'
An Halesowen road was closed off for more than two hours by emergency services and buses diverted due to a collision.
The area around the Furnace Roundabout near the A458 Stourbridge Road was closed off just after 12.30pm due to the road traffic collision, with emergency services crews arriving at the scene.
The number 9 bus which follows along that route was diverted while the road closure is in place.
A spokesman for West Midlands Roads said: "There has been a road traffic collision on the A458 Stourbridge Road, with the road blocked around Furnace Lane roundabout.
"Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes where possible."
A spokesman for National Express West Midlands said: "Due to an Emergency service lead incident at Stourbridge Road in Halesowen, the 9 will be diverting in both directions via Alexandra Road, Highfield Lane, Andrew Road, Church Croft and Richmond Street.
"We apologise for any disruption to your journey."
The road was reopened just after 2.45pm.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of an RTC at the junction of Stourbridge Road and Islington Road in Halesowen at around 12.30pm and sent two ambulances and a paramedic officer to the scene.
"On arrival, crews found two cars had been involved in a collision.
"One man was treated for serious injuries and a second man was treated by ambulance staff for potentially serious injuries before both were conveyed to hospital."
