Ninja Swords: Ronan's Law is coming - here is where to surrender your weapon
Tougher regulations on knives are just two weeks away - here is where you can find your nearest knife amnesty bin in the Black Country.
Young people across the UK are being encouraged to surrender their bladed weapons - including ninja swords as a nationwide ban is set to come into force from next month.
The new legislation, known as Ronan's Law, outlaws the manufacture, supply, sale, possession and importation of ninja swords.
It was created in memory of Wolverhampton teenager Ronan Kanda, who was murdered yards from his house in Lanesfield in 2022 by two 17-year-old boys in a case of mistaken identity.

With support from Word 4 Weapons and FazAmnesty, young people can anonymously hand in weapons at surrender bins or a secure van in London, Greater Manchester, and the West Midlands – the three areas with the highest knife crime in England.

A weapon surrender bin is a secure container where you can safely dispose of a knife, blade or other weapon for it to be removed and destroyed by professionals.

In addition to the surrender bins, people will also be able to hand in ninja swords to designated police stations across the country.
Speaking about the extension of the surrender scheme, Faron Paul, Founder of FazAmnesty said: "I’m proud to support the extended surrender scheme and the launch of the mobile amnesty van which gives people a safe and easy way to hand in weapons, knives and other dangerous items.
"By taking this service directly into communities, I hope we can reach more individuals, encourage positive decisions and help reduce the number of harmful items on our streets. "This initiative is an important step towards preventing violence, building trust and supporting our ongoing efforts to create safer, stronger communities for everyone."
