Firearm recovered and two teens arrested after warrant carried out at Birmingham home
Two teenagers were arrested after a number of weapons were found in a house following a raid by police officers.
The officers from the West Midlands Police Organised Crime and Gangs Team carried out the warrant on Shakespear Crescent in Hockley in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
After a search of the property, a firearm, ammunition and a zombie knife were found and a 15-year-old and 16-year-old were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm offences and currently remain in custody for questioning.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said the arrests had been made as part of Operation Target, an operation to disrupt serious and organised crime.
The spokesman said: "Across the West Midlands, our teams are carrying out regular operations to disrupt serious and organised crime.
