Appeal launched following sexual assaults in Birmingham city centre

An appeal for witnesses to a series of sexual assaults in Birmingham city centre has been launched by police.

An image of a man West Midlands Police said it wanted to speak to has been released as part of the appeal around the incident, which happened on the morning of Thursday, May 29.

The incident saw three women touched inappropriately in the Caroline Street and Tower Street areas.

The force has asked anyone with any information about the incident to get in touch.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Recognise this man? We’d like to speak to him about a series of sexual assaults in Birmingham.

"We’ve been investigating reports three women in the city centre were touched inappropriately on the morning of Thursday, May 29.

"The offences were reported to have happened in the Caroline Street and Tower Street areas and we’ve been thoroughly examining CCTV from around the area.

"We’d like to speak to this man as part of our investigation.
