Second teen appears in court after Wolverhampton boy, 14, was robbed of a bike

A second teenager is to appear in court charged with robbery following an incident in Wolverhampton.

West Midlands Police have said that a 15-year-old from Low Hill is to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court charged with robbery following an incident on New Road, Ettingshall, on Monday, July 7.

The incident saw a 14-year-old boy robbed of his bike by offenders who were in possession of a knife. The teen and the man he was with were not injured. 

Another teenager, Sarunas Balsuris, 19, from Ettingshall, appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates yesterday, charged with the robbery. The 19-year-old was remanded into custody.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "Tackling violent crime and robbery remain priorities for us in Wolverhampton and we are working hard to identify those who possess or carry weapons."
